Privacy Policy

The Copper Canopy Club (“Copper Canopy,” “we,” “us”) operates this website at thecoppercanopy.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English; nothing here is a substitute for the terms of the third-party services we link to, which have their own privacy practices.

What we collect

Information you give us

Two parts of this site let you share information with us directly:

• Waitlist and inquiry form. When you fill out our Typeform (powered by Typeform) we receive whatever you submit — typically your name, email address, and any notes you add. Typeform stores this on our behalf.
• Founding 100 checkout. When you reserve a Founding 100 membership we send you to Stripe‘s hosted checkout. Stripe collects your payment information and contact details directly. We receive a record of the transaction (name, email, amount paid, last 4 digits of card) but never see your full card number or banking details.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours collects a small amount of technical information automatically:

• Server logs. Our web server records each request — IP address, browser, referring page, and the URL requested — for the purpose of operating and securing the site.
• Analytics. If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people view and which calls-to-action they click. Analytics stays off until you accept the cookie banner on your first visit. Google may store this data in the United States.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry or process your membership reservation.
• To send you updates about the club’s opening, if you’ve asked us to.
• To understand how the site is performing and improve it.
• To protect the site against fraud, abuse, and technical failure.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers for retargeting. We do not use it to build a profile beyond what is described above.

Cookies

This site uses three categories of cookies and similar storage:

• Strictly necessary. A small amount of local storage records your cookie-banner choice so we don’t ask again on every visit.
• Analytics (opt-in). Google Analytics 4 cookies, set only after you accept the banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
• Third-party. Typeform sets its own cookies when you open the form, and Stripe sets its own when you reach checkout. Those cookies are governed by Typeform’s and Stripe’s privacy policies.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers we use to run the club’s pre-launch:

• Typeform — form submissions. Typeform privacy policy.
• Stripe — membership payments. Stripe privacy policy.
• Google — analytics (only with your consent). Google privacy policy.
• Cloudflare and Hostinger — content delivery and hosting.

We may also share information if required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to defend the rights and safety of Copper Canopy and its members.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it: form submissions while we’re actively following up, transaction records as long as our accountants and tax laws require (typically seven years), and analytics data per Google’s default retention. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact email below.

Your choices and rights

You can:

• Decline analytics cookies in the banner (or change your choice later by clearing site data).
• Ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
• Unsubscribe from any email we send you using the link in the email.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of any “sale” — we do not sell personal information. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you similar rights plus the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Children

The Copper Canopy Club is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please email us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We’ll post any updates here and revise the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site for a reasonable period before they take effect.
